
Acerca de CSS
Community Service Solutions (CSS) es una agencia sin fines de lucro 501 (c) (3) con sede en las montañas Eastern Sierra de California. CSS se estableció en abril de 2002, con el propósito original de ayudar a los condados con la implementación del Programa de Servicios de Apoyo en el Hogar (AB 1682).
Desde entonces, la misión de CSS se ha expandido enormemente, para incluir la asistencia a los miembros de la comunidad que lo necesiten proporcionándoles o conectándolos con los recursos gubernamentales necesarios, así como proporcionando diversas formas de experiencia y asistencia a los gobiernos estatales y del condado. CSS ha operado en hasta cinco condados diferentes de California desde su incorporación.

Amanda Philips
Executive Director
*Fun fact: Amanda and her family live on a working cattle ranch.
Amanda joined CSS as a Program Manager in 2013 and was promoted to Executive Director in 2018. She oversees CSS's operations and programs and is always looking for opportunities to bring additional services to underserved residents in the Eastern Sierra. Amanda spends her free time loving life with her husband and two boys- hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking, photography, and watching her boys play sports.

Chelsea Bertram
Creative Director
*Fun fact: She worked as a photo retoucher in a commercial photography studio in Cleveland, Ohio.
Chelsea has been with CSS since 2017. Her goal through design, is to cultivate connections to our community with opportunities that are available to them. Chelsea is currently living in Japan exploring new places with her husband, their newborn and five-year-old sons, and their pup!

Jenna McCarthy
Nutrition Security

Fun Fact: Jenna’s been to 16 MLB ballparks and 21 National Parks.
Jenna began working with CSS in 2019 and served as the CalFresh Healthy Living Project Director for six years. She is excited to continue Mono County environmental and nutrition security efforts by reducing food waste and increasing residents’ access to healthy food.

Marissa Flanders

Program Coordinator
Fun Fact: Marissa enjoys crafting latte art and has worked as a barista for the past 7 years!
Marissa joined CSS in June 2024 as a remote Nutrition Educator. She now coordinates CSS's first mobile food distribution program for Mono County, where she is passionate about expanding access to healthy food and connecting community members with food recovery resources. Outside of work, Marissa enjoys learning to golf, cooking with friends, getting lost in a good romantasy novel, and spending time relaxing by Lake Tahoe.

Miriam Jones
Deputy Director
*Fun Fact: Miriam has lived in five U.S. states and in three different countries.
Miriam, a native of Sweden, has been with Community Service Solutions since 2017. She started as a Nutrition Educator, but moved to IHSS in 2018. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing with her family.

Danelle James
Alpine County
IHSS Registry Coordinator
*Fun Fact: Danelle owned a "holey" cow and once did a commercial for Mesa College in San Diego, while in attendance there.
Danelle started with CSS as their new Registry Coordinator in Alpine County in January 2023. She is a native of Alpine County and is happy to be a part of the team to assist and provide services to those in need. In her off time she enjoys taking road trips, hiking and photographing every bit of it along the way.

Kelly Faldowski
Inyo County
IHSS Registry Coordinator
Fun Fact: She has seen the band The Gogo's 6+ times.
Kelly has been with CSS since September 2025. She's lived in Bishop collectively for about 8 years now. She enjoys water activities and hanging out with friends and family. She's looking forward to helping our town residents receive the care and support they need.

Mark Richnow
Driver/Support Specialist
Fun Fact: Mark is a huge WWII history nerd and unwinds by watching documentaries every night.
Mark's number one goal is to help any individual or family in need by offering resources that they otherwise might not have access to. He also enjoys volunteering for his church and bowling in his spare time.
