Food Security Outreach Program

In October 2025, CSS began implementing the Mono County Food Security Outreach Program to help strengthen families and reduce food insecurity throughout the county.

Our team provides food vouchers, operates a mobile emergency food donation truck that delivers food directly to communities, connects residents with other local food banks, and promotes access to healthy foods through nutrition education and community partnerships.
 

We prioritize support for vulnerable families by working closely with partners such as the Northern Nevada Food Bank, Salvation Army, IMACA, senior centers, and faith-based organizations.

 

We connect families to additional resources like CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, Behavioral Health services, WIC, and other local supportive services.
